Transitional Age Youth
Peer Mentoring
Perhaps the most innovative aspect of the WEDO program is our Transitional Age Youth Peer Support model, whereby young adults are empowered to assist their peers with linkages and referrals and provide mentorship through shared experiences. WEDO strongly believe that this peer-based model is both highly effective and sustainable for successful connection and relationship building with our participants. TAY Peer Support Specialists work diligently to assist participants with linkages to housing, academic, employment, and everyday necessities including obtaining IDs, filling out forms, and applying for jobs. Our unofficial slogan is “Adulting is Hard. Doing it Alone is Harder.”
