WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
The impact of abuse is far greater than the immediate and visible effects. Abuse and neglect are often associated with short and long-term consequences including brain damage, developmental delays, learning disorders, problems forming healthy relationships, aggressive behavior and depression.
Tragically, an average of three children die every day in the United States as a result of child abuse or neglect.
Survivors of child abuse and neglect may be at greater risk for problems later in life - such as low academic achievement, drug use, teen pregnancy, and criminal behavior. These problems affect not only the child and family, but our community as a whole.
Money that you donate to CCAV STAYS in the Antelope Valley. In fact, 92 cents of every dollar donated to the Children’s Center goes directly to providing the services that treat children and families affected by abuse.

A single therapy session costs $150.00. One Psychiatry session costs $250.00. A month of electricity at CCAV costs $3,200.00. Every dollar you donate contributes to making a difference in a child’s life... One child at a time.
